Single Stand Pipe

A single stand pipe connection serves one household. It consists of a 1-inch water meter mounted on a galvanized iron riser with standard fittings on both the supply (before the meter) and distribution (after the meter) sides.

Communal Stand Pipe

A communal stand pipe connection serves multiple households from a single service point. It uses larger 1½-inch galvanized iron fittings with a cross tee assembly to allow multi-meter branching from one main riser.
